Similarity to Prophet Abraham

The translation of Verse 68 of Surah Al-Imran:

Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in submission to Allah] and this prophet, and those who believe [in his message]. And Allah is the ally of the believers.

In its explanation

Imam Baqir said: By Allah! As if I am looking at (imagining) him [Qa’im] that he is leaning against Hajar al Asvad (the Black Stone), and then swears to God for the sake of Allah’s dignity and then says: 'O people! anyone who wants to have and argument about God with me, I am the most deserving for it, and anyone who want to argue about Adam with me, I deserve it most, anyone who wants to argue about Noah with me, I deserve it most , anyone who wishes to argue with me about Abraham, I deserve it most.

The test of the companions and real Shias

The translation of verse 249 of Surah Al-Baqarah:

And when Saul marched out with his army, he said: 'Allah will test you with a river.”

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) on interpreting this verse has said: God tested the Companions of Moses by a stream and the Companions of Our Qa’im will be tested alike.”

Tafsir Noor al-Thaqalayn. Vol.1. p. 251

You have forgot the story of the man from Khorasan and Imam Sadiq (PBUH)?

The man from Khorasan objected Imam Sadiq: Why don’t you defend your right while you have more than one hundred Shias ready for a battle?” The Imam answered: Go and sit in the fireplace”. The man implored: Don’t burn me with fire. Forgive my fault.” Right at that time, Aaron the Meccan entered the room. Imam asked him Go and sit in the fireplace”, he entered it and sat there. Then the Imam told the man: Go and see what’s happening inside”. The man says they went and checked the fireplace, He was sitting in the fireplace and said hello to us.”

The Imam said: How many people like these can be found in Khorasan?”

The man from Khorasan: I swear to God there exists no one.”

The Imam said: We won’t up rise unless we have five companions like him.”

(The difference between action and saying is very much)

The return/ second coming of prophets

The translation of Verse 81 of Surah Al-Imran:

Behold! Allah took the covenant of the prophets, saying: "I give you a Book and Wisdom; then comes to you a messenger, confirming what is with you; do ye believe in him and render him help." Allah said: "Do ye agree, and take this my Covenant as binding on you?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) on interpreting this verse has said:

When God took covenant of the prophets that this Book and Wisdom then a prophet then comes to you a messenger, confirming what is with you; do ye believe in him and render him help.” From Noah up to now, God has sent no prophet except that he will return to this world and will help Prophet of Islam and Amir al-Mumenin and the interpretation of the verse is actually, You should believe in the Prophet and help Amir al-Mumenin” – in the time of the Second Coming.

Stoning the Satan

The translation of Verse 36 of Surah Al-Imran: And I commend her and her offspring to Thy protection from the Evil One, the Rejected.”

Imam Hadi (PBUH) on the interpretation of this verse has said:

Rejected means that Satan was expelled from God’s Presence. No faithful remembers him except to damn him. Very truly, it has been ordained in God’s Knowledge (from the beginning of the Creation) that no faithful among those who used to damn Satan exists except that they stone Satan and make him go away from them.

Feeling regretful for not working enough for the Imam…

Lest any soul should say: 'sadly, I have neglected my duty to Allah.”

Yes, in the Day of Judgment, when one faces the results of his wrongdoings and whatever serious matters he has taken as fun, he cries alas”.  What does جَنْبِ اللّٰه mean here?

Imam al- Kadhim (PBUH) says جَنْبُ اللّٰه” are Amir al-Mumenin and his successors who are in a high position especially the last one (Imam Mahdi (A.J.).

Tafsir al-Nemooneh, vol. 19, p. 514

Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani: Imam Mahdi is the essence of all prophets. In the Occultation, serving him, working for him, publishing his good deeds and propagating his virtues are like an unknown gem and in the Day of Judgment we will regret why we didn’t serve him more while we could.

313 companions in the Quran

So race in goodness and wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together”

Imam Baqir (PBUH) interprets this verse in this way: Allah, without any prior appointment, will gather Mahdi’s 313 companions, whose number equals the companions of the Battle of Badr, around him in Mecca, like the pieces of cloud in autumn. O Jabir, this is what Allah means by wherever you are, He will gather all of you together.”
